Open Plan Dining
The client wanted to create a large open plan entertaining area, grabbing as much additional light as possible by removing the existing wall between the kitchen and dining room. The supporting wall was removed and a steel beam put into place to create a single larger living kitchen space. No additional windows or patio doors were added, just the removal of the wall helped to flood the space with light. Pairing this with a modern light colour scheme helped to create a new bright, airy kitchen.
From Dark to Dazzling
This client wanted to make better use of the current kitchen, dining area. A small extension was added to fill in the corner & the existing kitchen walls were removed with new steel beams fitted to create a large entertaining space into this Victorian townhouse. 2 sets of french doors and a velux window was adding to grab as much light as possible. A bright feature wall and coloured bar stools were the final touches added to a modern handleless kitchen to give this client their desired new living space.
Here the client came to us needing a complete refurbishment of their 1st floor bathroom. They were looking for period features to blend in with their victorian property. Opting for sage green metro tiles in an elongated style added a more contemporary twist and the perfect accompaniment to the feature patterned floor tiles. Traditional sanitaryware & freestanding bath from Burlington completed the period look.
This project was the complete renovation of a property on Shanklin Drive, Leicester. It was a good sized property but needed modernisation throughout. The property benefitted from existing character features such as high ceilings and a large hallway with a feature staircase but lacked modern requirements such as spacious living kitchen area & ensuite. Simple to Stunning
The brief for this bathroom was to de-clutter the bathroom to give a more spacious feel & fit more traditional products to match with the period of the property. With just a small low level window maximising the light was a priority. Adding additional downlights into the ceiling helped tie all the aspects together to transform the space from a dark, cluttered bathroom to a bright, airy, luxury bathroom
"We're thrilled with our lovely, light, bright kitchen. James is so hard working and organised and his team are also extremely hard working, from the office staff to the on site workmen. All are very pleasant to deal with. We are also still enjoying our shower room which Oakland also did a couple of years ago".
Mr and Mrs A Stuart, Kilby
"We've just had a bespoke bathroom fitted and it is everything we hoped for. From the initial survey and design right through to completion, everything is well planned and thought-out by Oakland. The fitters were punctual and always left everything clean and tidy at the end of each day, and are a credit to their boss, James Oakland. The clerical staff were also very helpful and kept us informed along the way. We absolutely love our new bathroom!"
Mr and Mrs Brown
"I am completely overwhelmed by the finished en-suite, it is a dream - I am on cloud nine!
The end result looks just like the CAD images mocked up and it is truly unbelievable - I have been standing at the door of the en-suite for half an hour each evening with amazement. I am also speechless at the effort, professionalism and enduring hard work that the fitters have put in this past week and half, but also wanted to express how impressed I am with the whole team at Oaklands".
Miss R Barot, Leicester
"Thank you all so much for my new bathroom. I truly appreciated the fitters attention to detail and care he took in ensuring I had a lovely bathroom.
I would certainly use Oaklands again".
A Jones, Wigston
We are delighted with our lovely bathroom. The fitters were excellent workers. Everything is top quality, could not get better. Thanks once again to all that made this possible, we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
