Bathroom and Kitchen Fitters

Oaklands (Leicester) Ltd have been working in the bathroom and kitchen sector since 1911 and supply and install individually designed bathrooms & kitchens throughout Leicestershire. We are a small family run business and aim to deliver a high quality finish and personal customer service.

We are currently looking for a highly-skilled and experienced bathroom fitter and kitchen fitter to join our friendly, multi-skilled team.

Location: Leicester and surrounding area

Full time: 40 hours per week, between hours of 8am-5pm

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in kitchen or bathroom installation

Salary will be dependent on industry knowledge and experience

Full UK Driving Licence required

  • Be able to follow instructions and follow company policies and procedures at all times
  • Be polite, punctual and have good communication skills
  • Provide a professional, personal service
  • Be able to cope with changing demands of the job, often at short notice
  • Work in a clean and efficient manner
  • Must have own van & tools
  • Have proficient skills to work within a domestic environment

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kitchen Fitter

  • Will be able to complete all aspects of kitchen fitting to the highest standards from start to finish, including tiling, plumbing, flooring, patch-plastering, carpentry & joinery.
  • Ability to fit our made-to-measure rigid built kitchens to a very high standard.
  • All aspects of laminate worktop fitting
  • First and second fix for appliances
  • Karndean floor fitting experience would be an advantage
  • Asbestos awareness

Bathroom Fitter

  • Will be able to complete all aspects of bathroom fitting to the highest standards from start to finish, including tiling, plumbing, flooring & patch-plastering.
  • Ceramic & porcelain tiling to a high standard
  • Boarding for plastering & wet-wall paneling
  • Some joinery skills to install fitted furniture, doors, skirtings’ & architraves
  • Karndean floor fitting experience would be an advantage
  • Asbestos awareness
  • Gas certification or interest in becoming gas certified would be an advantage

  • Salary – negotiable depending on experience and skills
  • Contracted working hours will be Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm

You will be working in our clients' residential homes and the utmost care must be taken to ensure that you are clean and tidy at your work and that you respect the property in which you are working.

Some weekend work may be necessary to finish the job on time.
